SIAL 2010 was attuned to the development and globalization of the food sector. 5,838 exhibitors, of which 4,746 are international exhibitors from 106 countries, attended the show, occupying a gross exhibition space of 215,000m2. Yet despite these circumstances, SIAL 2010 acted as a catalyst for global economic trade, with 136,500 professional visitors, of which 62% were international visitors from 200 countries, reflecting the challenge that the new economic order represents.
