According to the Customs, in August 2020, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 19.87 billion USD, down by 6.4% over last month and up by 1.1% over the same month last year. Among that, the export value was 6.23 billion USD, down by 3.2% over last month and down by 2% over the same month last year. The import value was 13.64 billion USD, down by 7.9% over last month and up by 2.5% over the same month last year. Trade deficit reached 7.41 billion USD while the number from the same month last year was 6.94 billion USD.

 

From January to August 2020, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 157 billion USD, up by 6.9% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 47.82 billion USD, down by 3.1% over the same period last year. The import value was 109.19 billion USD, up by 12.1% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 61.37 billion USD while the number from same period in 2019 was 48.09 billion.
