According to the Customs, in February 2020, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 13.9 billion USD, down by 31.4% over last month and up by 13.5% over the same month last year. Among that, the export value was 2.93 billion USD, down by 55.2% over last month and by 21.4% over the same month last year. The import value was 10.96 billion USD, down by 19.9 % over last month and up by 28.8% over the same month last year. Trade deficit reached 8.03 billion USD while the number from the same month last year was 4.78 billion USD.

From January to February 2020, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 34.14 billion USD, down by 0.1% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 9.49 billion USD, down by 11.6% over the same period last year. The import value was 24.66 billion USD, up by 5.1% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 15.17 billion USD while the number from same period in 2019 was 12.73 billion.
