According to the Customs, in May 2019, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 19.45 billion USD, down by 0.2% over last month and by 4.7% over the same month last year. Among that, the export value was 6.64 billion USD, up by 7.9% over last month and 0.1% over the same month last year. The import value was 12.81 billion USD, down by 4.0% over last month and by 6.9% over the same month last year. Trade deficit reached 6.17 billion USD while the number from the same month last year was 7.13 billion USD.

From January to May 2019, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 90.17 billion USD, up by 2.4% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 30.00 billion USD, down by 3.4% over the same period last year. The import value was 60.17 billion USD, up by 5.6% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 30.17 billion USD while the number from same period in 2018 was 25.91 billion.
