According to the Customs, in March 2019, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 17.08 billion USD, up by 39.5% over February and 4.3% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 6.48 billion USD, up by 73.7% over February and 12.3% over the same period last year. The import value was 10.59 billion USD, up by 24.5% over February and basically equal to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 4.11 billion USD while the number from last month was 4.78 billion.

From January to March 2019, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 51.26 billion USD, up by 3.5% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 17.22 billion USD, down by 3.1% over the same period last year. The import value was 34.05 billion USD, up by 7.3% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 16.83 billion USD while the number from 2018 was 13.98.
