According to the Customs, in January 2019, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 21.96 billion USD, up by 10.8% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 7 billion USD, up by 0.3% over the same period last year. The import value was 14.96 billion USD, up by 16.6% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 7.96 billion USD, an expansion of 36.1%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.2% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 8.4%.
