According to the Customs, from January to March 2018, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 49.51 billion USD, up by 10.4% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 17.77 billion USD, up by 9.6% over the same period last year. The import value was 31.74 billion USD, up by 10.8% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 13.98 billion USD, an expansion of 12.7%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.3% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 6.4%.
