According to the Customs, in January 2018, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 19.82 billion USD, up by 0.1% over December and 19.5% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 6.98 billion USD, down by 12.5% over last month and up by 8.5% over the same period last year. The import value was 12.83 billion USD, up by 8.7% over last month and 26.5% over the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 5.85 billion USD, an expansion of 58.5%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.5% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 7.1%.
