According to the Customs, from January to October 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products reached 161.45 billion USD, up by 9.3% compared to the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 59.54 billion USD, up by 2.4% over the same period last year. The import value was 101.91 billion USD, up by 13.8% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 42.37 billion USD, an expansion of 34.7%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.3% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 6.9%.
