According to the Customs, from January to September 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products reached 146.02 billion USD, up by 8.7% compared to the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 52.98 billion USD, up by 1.5% over the same period last year. The import value was 93.04 billion USD, up by 13.3% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 40.06 billion USD, an expansion of 34%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.2% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 7%.
