According to the Customs, from January to August 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products reached 129.95 billion USD, up by 9.3% compared to the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 47.22 billion USD, up by 2.1% over the same period last year. The import value was 82.72 billion USD, up by 13.9% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 35.50 billion USD, an expansion of 34.6%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.3% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 7.1%.
