According to the Customs, from January to April 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products reached 61.54 billion USD, up by 10.8% compared to the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 22.18 billion USD, up by 1.3% over the same period last year. The import value was 39.36 billion USD, up by 17.0% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 17.19 billion USD, an expansion of 46.3%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.3% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 7%.
