According to the Customs, from January to March 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 44.98 billion USD, up by 11.5% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 16.29 billion USD, basically flat as the same period last year. The import value was 28.69 billion USD, up by 19.3% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 12.4 billion USD, an expansion of 60%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.4% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 6.9%.
