According to the Customs, from January to February 2017, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 28.6 billion USD, up by 13.3% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 10.25 billion USD, down by 2.3% compared to the same period last year. The import value was 18.61 billion USD, up by 24.2% compared to the same period last year. Trade deficit reached 8.36 billion USD, an expansion of 86.2%. The export revenue of agricultural products takes up 3.4% of the total export revenue while the import revenue takes up 7.1%.
