According to the Customs, in Nov. 2016, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 16.76 billion USD, up by 23% over Oct. and up by 8.1% over the same period last year. Among that, the export value was 7.17 billion USD, an 18.2% month-on-month increase and 10.5% year-on-year increase, while the import value was 9.59 billion USD, a 26.9% month-on-month increase and 6.5% year-on-year increase.

From January to Nov. in 2016, China’s import and export value of agricultural products amounted to 164.42 billion USD, down by 1.7% compared to the same period last year. Among that, export value was 65.29 billion USD, a 4.6% increase over the same period last year, while import value was 99.13 billion USD, a5.5% decrease compared to the same period last year. The trade deficit of agricultural products amounted to 33.84 billion USD, narrowed by 20.4% compared to the same period last year. The export of agricultural products accounted for 3.4% of China’s total export value, while the import of such products accounted for 7% of the country’s total import.
