The launching webinar of 14 Chilean frozen fruit items into the Chinese market was successfully held on Sep. 27. The event was jointly organized by the Vegetable, Fruit and Industrial Food Department of CFNA, the Commercial Office of the Chilean Embassy in China and the Association of Food Companies of Chile (Chilealimentos). Lorena S¨¢nchez, director of the International Department of Chilean Export Promotion Bureau£¨ProChile£©£» Antonio Dom¨ªnguez, director of Chilealimentos; Natalia Cort¨¦s, commercial counselor of the Chilean Embassy in China; and Cheng Fangfang, deputy director of the Vegetable, Fruit and Industrial Food Department of CFNA, attended the webinar. More than 60 representatives from relevant enterprises and institutions in China also attended the event.
The General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile signed the Protocol of Inspection and Quarantine Requirements for the Export of Chilean Frozen Fruits to China at the end of 2021, which increases the items of Chilean frozen fruit exports to China from 3 to 17. The launching webinar aims to provide Chinese importers, wholesalers and distributors with an overview of the Chilean frozen fruit industry and related business opportunities.
