China-Canada Pea and Plant-Based Industry Match Making Meeting, jointly hosted by CFNA and the Canadian Embassy in China, was successfully held on February 25. More than 600 representatives of plant-based companies participated in this event, and more than 100 domestic companies had one-on-one online matchmaking with 15 Canadian companies. Ms. Betti-Jo Ruston, Agricultural Counselor of the Canadian Embassy in China, presided over the meeting. President Cao Derong attended the meeting and delivered a speech on the development of pea trade and plant-based industry cooperation between China and Canada. Ambassador of Canada to China Mr. Jim Nickel, the Charge D'affaires of the Canadian Embassy, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
This event was strongly supported by the Alberta Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture and the China Plant-Based Food Application and Promotion Alliance.
