Vice president Yu Lu and Panama Ambassador Co-host China-Panama Food Trade Webinar

Vice president Yu Lu and Panama Ambassador Leonardo Alfonso Kam Binns co-hosted the “Agro-Industrial Business Meeting between Chinese Buyers and Panamanian Exporters” on Sep. 29. The two sides exchanged views on promoting the production and trade of the bilateral meat, aquatic products, fruits, etc. and had discussions on spotlight issues including food safety, investment promotion, market access of agricultural products, etc. Yu Lu also invited the Panama side to continue their attendance to the CIIE, and CFNA’s meat conference, fruit conference, etc.

 

“Food and agricultural trade brings the two people closer. It is not only an important part of ‘trade connectivity’, but also a significant role of ‘people-to-people bond’.” Yu Lu said, companies from the two countries will continue further communication, overcome the influence of the COVID-19, and jointly promote the healthy development of the food and agricultural trade between China and Panama.

Delegates from the Embassy of China in Panama, Panama Trade and Investment Agency, Ministry of Agricultural Development in Panama, Panamanian Exporters Association, and nearly 20 Chinese importers and 40 Panamanian exporters also joined the webinar.
