Chinese Agricultural Promotional Group Visited the U.S.

On 4^th -10^th this month, the Chinese Agricultural Promotional Group composed of representatives from Ministry of Commerce of the P.R.C., China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA), Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, and government bodies in the field of agriculture and quarantine visited the U.S. to demonstrate food quality and safety. The delegation hosted Chinese Food and Agra-products Quality and Safety Workshop in Washington DC. They paid visits to USDA and FDA, and exchanged ideas on quality, safety and management of agricultural products of both countries. During this trip, the group also visited wholesale and retail marketplaces of agricultural products. Officials from the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of China in the USA also participated in the above activities.
