Vice president Rong Weidong attended and addressed the first China-Brazil Food and Livestock Seminar on June 14 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Eduardo Lopes, secretary of state for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Supply of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Juliano Alves Pinto, undersecretary for the Promotion of Investments and Productive Chains of Minas Gerais, Antonio Alvarenga, president of the National Society of Agriculture, Li Yang, China's consul general in Rio de Janeiro, Ji Hong, head of the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province also attended the event and delivered speeches. More than 80 delegates from the two countries, including government officials, representatives from industrial organizations and companies had in-depth communications on food and agricultural trade cooperation.
