The 9th China International Meet Conference Held in Shanghai

As one of the on-site supporting activities of the first CIIE, the 9th China International Meet Conference was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on November 7. The conference was co-hosted by CFNA and Tianjin Commission of Commerce. CFNA President Bian Zhenhu and Vice President Yu Lu jointly presided over the meeting. Attending were more than 300 people from the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the Tianjin Municipal Government, relevant foreign government departments, industry organizations, domestic and foreign manufacturers, traders and distributors.

Assistant Minister of Commerce Ren Hongbin pointed out that holding the China International Meat Conference on the strategic platform of the CIIE fully demonstrates that the Chinese government attaches great importance to increasing agricultural product imports and expanding agricultural opening up. It will absolutely further promote international exchange and cooperation of food and agricultural products and promote supply-side structural reform in agriculture to continuously meet the growing consumption demands of the people.

Industrial organizations from France, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, etc., and producers, traders, and distributors from China, the U.K., the U.S., Brazil, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Pakistan etc communicated in the conference.
