President Bian and Vice President Rong Meet the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for Uruguay

President BianZhenhu and vice president RongWeidong met with Mr. TabaréAguerre,Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for Uruguay and Mr. Fernando Lugris, Ambassador of Uruguay in China on May 15 at CFNA during the opening of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The two sides had in-depth communications on the bilateral trade development of agriculture and food industry.

Aguerre pointed out that China is Uruguay’s major trade partner and they has just signed relevant inspection and quarantine certification agreements on beef with China Certification and Inspection Group before the opening of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Uruguay will contribute more to China’s Belt and Road development and Chinese customers will have access to more high quality beef and meat products from Uruguay

President BianZhenhu and vice president RongWeidong welcomed the Uruguayan delegation and said that CFNA is willing to strengthen cooperation and promote the bilateral trade with the Uruguayan side.
